I would like to thank all of the people who had never even met us before who donated items, made special items for Rebecca, and just showed up to support us. The thoughtfulness and generosity of so many has simply blown us away! We had such a great time last night, and it was so good to see so many people come out to support this cause. We have so many to thank that we could not include everyone but please know that your help in making this event a success is greatly appreciated.
Shortly after we found out Rebecca had Usher Syndrome we started this blog in hopes to raise awareness. Soon after, we knew that we had to do something to raise money to help
the Foundation Fighting Blindness in their research for a cure. When we decided to have this fundraiser we had hoped to raise around $5,000.00, about 15 minutes into our event we realized that we would not have too much trouble reaching that goal, and I am happy to say that we blew that goal out of the water!! We had well over 200 people attend our event, and so far we have raised $9,231.00, but we are still waiting on a couple more donations and should be close if not over the $10,000.00 mark by the end of the week!!!! This donation to the Foundation Fighting Blindness means the world to us, and we could not have done it without all of you!! The research they are doing just might find a cure for our sweet Rebecca, and we will do anything to help make that happen!
Thats amazing. I wish I could have been there. What a blessing to the foundation. So proud of all the hard work yall have done to raise awareness and reach others.
